Product Description Multi gauge reducer Oil Gas temp Gauge 12 to 6 volt - MGR1
When converting your vintage car or truck from 6 volts to 12 volts, you also need to install reducers for all your gauges to make sure they don’t burn out on the increased power. Our multi gauge voltage reducer is the easiest way to make this conversion with one reducer for your fuel gauge, temperature gauge, oil gauge, and more.
This voltage reducer uses a solid state design and aluminum construction to avoid overheating. For convenient installation, the multi gauge reducer also has:
- Screw terminals for simple wire connection.
- LEDs to confirm inflow and outflow connections are correct.
- 3” x 1.5” x .5” size to fit anywhere in your vehicle.
- Resettable circuit breaker embedded in the unit.
As our first product, we have sold over 4000 of our multi gauge voltage reducers, and this latest update to our original, 15 year old gauge adds new features while retaining the quality of this made in America product. We also back our multi gauge reducer with a lifetime warranty for the original owner.

Note: My restoration is not at the point where the power system is powered up & running. Overview comments are; 1. The product is over priced. 2. The installation instructions need to be improved. 3. Product documentation does not state if the product uses Automobile Grade components. 4. The product documentation does not state if the the outer metal housing is a heat sink. 5. Instead of a bare wire terminal block, the product should use a wire lug attachment. 5. Product specifications needs more information, for example what is the input voltage range such as 11V - 16V, don’t just list 12V because the alternator generates 14V. 6. Why is the output voltage listed as 6.7 V and not 6V. 7.
wow this little solid state gauge reducer is terrific! LED lights work super good. I show all my buddies at the car show this thing way cool, and great service from these guys too
I have bought several of the previous vreg product for my 6 volt gauge conversions, just got the new MGR1 connecting was a breeze, LED lights are really cool to see it working ok, super small how cool is this to have one for the first units. you guys rock!!!! and no fuse to mess with,
Awesome customer service and will be telling my friends about Vintage Auto Garage.
I just have to commend you on saving my day. I have a 1949 F1 Ford pickup I'm restoring, and none of the gauges worked properly with the 12 volt conversion. I tried 3 different voltage reducing resistors, from 3 different companies. I was pretty much down to installing aftermarket gauges when I stumbled into your website. Striving to keep the truck as original as possible, I hated the idea of putting aftermarket gauges in it, but was running out of options, until I found your product. I installed your unit over the weekend, and it works great! Finally my gauges work properly. Thank you!
it was exactly the part i needed, thank you
All is working correctly now with my old gauges. Thank you very much.
Delay was caused by lack of assembly parts. I am pleased though to have the part now.The product purchased will serve mine and my customers needs. Over all I am pleased.
