Ford 1942-48 Flathead v8 ready to run distributor with electronic conversion offered for exchange. These are orginal Ford distributors that have been fully rebuilt replacing the points system with Pertonix electronic module and fully set up on distributor Sun Machine.
12 volts neg ground.
This is a turn key solution for upgrading early Ford flathead V8 ignition system to electronic without the tooling and test equipment necessary for converting 1942-48 engines to electronic ignition.
Each distributor is complelely disassambled, cleaned, inspected replacing parts that are out of tolerance. New 12 volt negative ground Pertronix module is installed per the factory specs and properly set up for trouble free operation.
Crab cap and rotor are not included with this exhange.
Important information to know about electronic distributors.
12-Volt negative ground applications only. 2. DO NOT USE SOLID CORE SPARK PLUG WIRE. Use suppression or carbon type spark plug wires. 3. Warning!!! Leaving the ignition switch “ON” with the engine “OFF” for an extended period could result in permanent damage to the Ignitor. 4.The correct 1.5 OHM coil must be used to ensure proper operation.
These distrtibutors are offered as exchange, when you check out you wll pay for the distributor including core charge of $70.00.
