Ford 1932-1936 Flathead V8 ready to run distributor with electronic conversion. These are orginal Ford distributors that have been fully rebuilt replacing the points with Pertonix electronic module.
12 volts neg ground.
This is a turn key solution for upgrading early Ford flathead V8 ignition system to electronic without the tooling and test equipment necessary for converting 1932-36 engines to electronic ignition.
Each distributor is complelely disassambled, cleaned, inspected replacing parts that are out of tolerance. Center rotor is measured for wear and replaced as needed, rotor side cap clearances are measured and aligned. New 12 volt negative ground Pertronix module is installed per the factory specs and properly set up for trouble free operation.
Terminal plates and caps are not included.
The old 6 volt coil has been removed and replaced by our 3 screw coil adaptor kit that allows the installation of a remote coil.
Important information to know about electronic distributors.
12-Volt negative ground applications only. 2. DO NOT USE SOLID CORE SPARK PLUG WIRE. Use suppression or carbon type spark plug wires. 3. Warning!!! Leaving the ignition switch “ON” with the engine “OFF” for an extended period could result in permanent damage to the Ignitor. 4.The correct 1.5 OHM coil must be used to ensure proper operation. Includes coil wire from distributor to coil.
Once we receive customer core back to our shop and inspected a $70 core fee which is included in the price shown will be credited to the customers account.
