Borg Warner R-10 R-11 Overdrive 12 volt Upgrade Kit-New 1 year warranty
This kit includes components to convert your overdrive system from 6 volts to 12 volts. First is new original Borg Warner overdrive 12 volt solenoid. This is the same solenoid used by all eleven of the car companies that offered the Borg Warner electric overdrive as an option from the late 1930's through the early 1960's. This solenoid will fit standard Borg Warner overdrive applications with a shaft length of 1", measured from the tip of the shaft to the edge of the alignment flange. (lay your ruler on top of the shaft and measure from the ball end to the edge of the casting.) Refer to picture. All standard overdrive-solenoids will measure 1". Station Wagons and convertibles will measure 1.5 inches and a few odd applications will measure 1.25 inches or longer.
Next is a new relay. You need this because there is no possible way to use 6 volt relay on 12 volt system without damaging the relay. Relay is contained in a water tight metal housing with self resetting fuse. This replaces the original relay with modernized components for increased reliability.
And finally is the seal that goes into the overdrive transmission housing where the solenoid mounts to the transmission (and the solenoid shaft passes through the transmission housing) and connects to the shift pawl.

There is no warranty on parts that have been modified, painted, altered or not correctly installed. Some parts carry a longer manufacture limited warranty, in this case Vintage Auto Garage LLC will cover the first year [12 months] warranty and the manufacture would cover the remaining warranty period. Battery cables manufactured by Vintage Auto Garage LLC have a lifetime limited warranty to the original buyer. Extended warranty coverage can be purchased separately for some products that would extend the normal warranty by [12 months], [24 months] or [36 months].
