About Our Pontiac Voltage Conversion Kits, Starters, and More

When GM introduced Pontiac, they wanted an affordable car that emphasized performance. The resulting vehicle was fun to drive and available to the masses, making them a great classic driver today.

Vintage Auto Garage makes a line of parts to keep vintage Pontiacs on the road. It all started with our 6 volt to 12 volt conversion kits. A Pontiac 12 volt conversion kit has the alternator, wiring, voltage reducers, mounting brackets, and other parts you need to upgrade the 6 volt system on a pre-1950s Pontiac to more modern 12 volt power.

We also have our own line of gear reduction starters. They fit in place of original direct drive starters, but use updated machining and materials to deliver improved performance. They use an all ball bearing construction for smooth starting power and long lasting functionality.
