12-Volt Negative Ground For LED or Incandescent Turn Signals

This kit will work with LED or Incandescent turn signal bulbs, or a combination of both. These instructions are for installation only.

Step 1. Disconnect the battery from the vehicle. Always do this step as you don’t want to be working with your electrical system while the battery is connected. Never skip this step.

Step 2. Mount the turn signal switch on the steering column using the integrated worm gear clamp. This clamp and mounting system is also an electrical ground through the column. This is required in order for the internal indicator lamp to function. Route the attached harness under the dash to a place where you will put the flasher unit and make all the connections.

Step 3. There is a long red wire on the turn signal harness that has a fuse in it. Connect this red wire to a 12-volt power supply such as the battery, BAT terminal on the ignition switch, or BAT terminal of the starter solenoid.

Step 4. Find the wire harness with the flasher socket in the kit. Locate the flasher under the dash where the wide connector can be plugged into the mating connector on the turn signal switch. Plug the flasher unit into the socket. The black wire on the electronic flasher must be connected to chassis ground.

Step 5. Route the red wire on the flasher harness to the output of your brake light switch. The other terminal of your brake light switch should already be connected to 12-volt power.

Step 6. Plug the wide connector of the flasher harness into the mating connector of the turn signal harness.

Step 7. Find the two long wire harnesses in the kit. The one GREEN and YELLOW harness should be routed through the firewall to the front of your vehicle. Similarly, the ORANGE and BROWN harness should be routed to the rear of the vehicle. The ends of the harnesses with connectors need to be located under the dash where they can be plugged into the turn signal harness.

Step 8. At the front of your vehicle, connect the YELLOW wire to the Left Front bulb socket. Connect the GREEN wire to the Right Front bulb socket. These are the turn signal wires. For parking lights, you will need bulbs with two filaments such as 1157, and the second filaments connected directly to the headlamp switch. See diagram on reverse.

Step 9. At the rear of your vehicle, connect the ORANGE wire to the Left Rear bulb socket. Connect the Brown wire to the Right Rear bulb socket. These are the turn signal wires. For tail lights, you will need bulbs with two filaments such as 1157, and the second filaments connected directly to the headlamp switch. See diagram on reverse.

Step 10. Plug the GREEN/YELLOW harness under the dash into the socket of matching colors on the turn signal harness. Do the same with the ORANGE/BROWN harness.

Step 11. Reconnect your battery, and test your turn signal switch. To operate the 4-way flashers, pull out on the red knob under the turn signal lever.
