1949-1953 Ford Mercury Car Truck Flathead V8 

Note:1949 car engines used 5/8" pulleys, 1950-53 cars used 3/8" pulleys. All 1949-1953 Trucks engines used 5/8" pulley. Make sure what engine and pulley you have before ordering this kit.

Included in conversion kit. 12 volt 100 amp black alternator your choice of 3/8' or 5/8" pulley, flathead V8 bracket that mounts the alternator in the same position as the original generator. Ignition Coil, Headlight Relay, Horn Relay, Oil Gas Temp Gauge Regulator (allows use of original 6v gauge sending units), (Start Solenoid that is both ground and power activated allows the use of the original stater button, alternator plug and 8' of 10 AWG and fuse kit and flasher alternator to battery connection wire. Set of Instructions.

This kit converts vehicle from positive to negative ground. Consider ordering optional battery cables as they are made to fit and super high quality.

Note: if you order the FD4953 distributor [comes with points] and want to convert to electronic order the module, customer will need to install this module as the distributor is shipped with points only.   1181LS module.

Light bulbs are not covered under any warranty, if your order arrives with damaged bulbs caused by shipping, Vintage Auto Garage LLC will replace the light bulb at no charge. There is no warranty on parts that have been modified, painted, altered or not correctly installed. Some parts carry a longer manufacture limited warranty, in this case Vintage Auto Garage LLC will cover the first year [12 months] warranty and the manufacture would cover the remaining warranty period. Battery cables manufactured by Vintage Auto Garage LLC have a lifetime limited warranty to the original buyer. Extended warranty coverage can be purchased separately for some products that would extend the normal warranty by [12 months], [24 months] or [36 months].
