Borg Warner R-10 R11 6 volt replacement Kit-New 1 year warranty
This kit includes what you need to bring back your 6 volt BW overdrive electric system. First is new original Borg Warner overdrive 6 volt solenoid. This is the same solenoid used by all eleven of the car companies that offered the Borg Warner electric overdrive as an option from the late 1930's through the early 1960's. This solenoid will fit standard Borg Warner overdrive applications with a shaft length of 1", measured from the tip of the shaft to the edge of the alignment flange. (lay your ruler on top of the shaft and measure from the ball end to the edge of the casting.) Refer to picture. All standard overdrive-solenoids will measure 1". Station Wagons and convertibles will measure 1.5 inches and a few odd applications will measure 1.25 inches or longer.
Next is a new 6 volt relay in a water tight metal enclosure, and seal that goes into the overdrive transmission housing where the solenoid mounts to the transmission (and the solenoid shaft passes through the transmission housing) and connects to the shift pawl.
