1955-1962 Second series 12 volt 100 amp Chevrolet 6 Cylinder Chrome Alternator Kit.

This kit only fits 235 second series engines and 261: See images below....

If you have a 1st generation engine, please refer to our first generation 12 volt conversion kits.

1955 was the first year cheverolet went to 12 volts in cars and trucks, the only items needed to change from generator to alternator are contained in this kit. 1954 was the last year for 6 volt vehicles.

This kit replaces that old generator on your Chevy six with a modern alternator. Get more consistent charging, even at idle, and power that can handle all of the electrical devices you might add-on to your vehicle. Easy to install, includes complete instructions.

Light bulbs are not covered under any warranty, if your order arrives with damaged bulbs caused by shipping, Vintage Auto Garage LLC will replace the light bulb at no charge. There is no warranty on parts that have been modified, painted, altered or not correctly installed. Some parts carry a longer manufacture limited warranty, in this case Vintage Auto Garage LLC will cover the first year [12 months] warranty and the manufacture would cover the remaining warranty period. Battery cables manufactured by Vintage Auto Garage LLC have a lifetime limited warranty to the original buyer. Extended warranty coverage can be purchased separately for some products that would extend the normal warranty by [12 months], [24 months] or [36 months].
