1939-1954 Pontiac straight 8 cylinder 12 Volt Conversion Kit
Kit uses long case Delco Powergen with or without dash light connection
Now you can have all the benefits of a modern 12 volt electrical system for your Pontiac straight 8 like better, brighter, safer lighting, the ability to add modern accessories, plus electronic ignition which gives you better starting and smoother running and never having to adjust points again, and you get this without changing the original appearance of your engine compartment.
This kit includes the PowerGen alternator that looks like your original generator but is in reality a modern 90 amp alternator. Also included in this kit is a Pertronix electronic ignition module which fits completely inside your stock distributor. But it will deliver faster starting smoother running and, because it replaces those old breaker points, no more messing around with settings our timing adjustments.
The rest of the kit is made up of a new starter solenoid, horn relay, headlight relay, ignition coil, heater blower motor voltage reducer, coil bracket, our exclusive "VREG" gauge voltage reducer with installation kit, and a 10AWG charge wire for the alternator.
The kit is easy to install and comes with complete instructions.
