Product Description 12 volt to 6 volt Gauge Reducer - SGR1
This reducer gives you an easy way to convert original 6 volt gauges to 12 volts negative ground after you have upgraded your car. It works with negative 12 volt systems only to reduce the voltage Without a reducer, the higher power of 12 volts could burn out or do other permanent damage to sensitive 6 volt gauges in your vehicle. The reducer works as a:
- Oil Gauge Volt Reducer
- Temperature Gauge Volt Reducer
- Gas Gauge Volt Reducer
Each reducer provides conversion for one 6 volt gauge and each gauge in your car will need its own. The reducer is not suitable for converting radios, fans, heaters, or other elements to 12 volt power and should only be used for gauges.
Our Gauge Reducer for vintage cars is high quality with brass screw terminals to prevent corrosion and an internal heat sink to help keep the reducer cool. Dont trust your valuable gauges to reducers made off-shore like many of the reducers found on-line.

Transistorized 12v to 6v reducers allow you to use your original 6 volt Oil, Gas or Temperature gauges on a vehicle that has been converted to 12 volts. You will need one reducer for each 6 volt electric gauge on your vehicle.
Note: Do not use ceramic block style resistors/reducers for gauges, Resistors heat up and cause the gauge reading to be in correct, you may think your ending is running hotter or cooler or your gas is fuller than you think.

Light bulbs are not covered under any warranty, if your order arrives with damaged bulbs caused by shipping, Vintage Auto Garage LLC will replace the light bulb at no charge. There is no warranty on parts that have been modified, painted, altered or not correctly installed. Some parts carry a longer manufacture limited warranty, in this case Vintage Auto Garage LLC will cover the first year [12 months] warranty and the manufacture would cover the remaining warranty period. Battery cables manufactured by Vintage Auto Garage LLC have a lifetime limited warranty to the original buyer. Extended warranty coverage can be purchased separately for some products that would extend the normal warranty by [12 months], [24 months] or [36 months].
