6 Volt and 12 Volt Positive or Negative Ground

These instructions are for installation only. Please read the fan manufacturer instructions for any warnings or other helpful information.

Step 1. Disconnect the battery from the vehicle. Always do this step as you don’t want to be working with your electrical system while the battery is connected. Never skip this step.

Step 2. Locate the On/Off toggle switch and mount under dash.

Step 3. Locate the circuit breaker and mount somewhere under the dash close to where you will mount the switch. The circuit breaker will provide protection for the fan and wiring. Do not bypass this step.

Step 4. Plug the terminals on the blue and black wires into the provided white connector housing according to the illustrations below. How you insert these terminals depends on if your vehicle is negative or positive ground, and whether your fan is a “pusher” or “puller”. A fan installed as a pusher is in front of the radiator, and a puller is installed behind.

Step 5. Connect the white 2 pin connector to your fan.

Step 6. Connect the black wire with ring connector to a good ground. Remember you need to find a good place to terminate your ground. Bad grounding will result in faulty fan functionality.

Step 7. Locate the long Blue and Black wire, this wire will run to your On/Off switch through the firewall. Make sure this wire is not rubbing on bare metal and the hole in firewall has a rubber grommet to protect this power wire from chaffing. Cut to size, Install ring connector and fasten to one side of switch.

Step 8. Locate the red wire, connect the end with the ring connector to the other terminal on the switch. Cut the red wire, install ring connector and connect to one terminal of the circuit breaker, install ring connector on the other end of the red wire and connect to other terminal of the circuit breaker and then over to the switched side of your ignition key switch. You want your fan to turn off when you remove your key to keep from running your battery down.

Step 9. Reconnect your battery, turn the key switch to on, switch the fan switch to the on position. Your fan should run and push air through the radiator.

BE SAFE BY KEEPING YOUR HANDS OR LOOSE CLOTHING AWAY FROM SPINNING FAN. ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATTERY WHEN DOING ELECTRICAL WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE.
