Product Description 1949 Ford Mercury Car and 1948-53 Truck 5/8" wide belt Flathead V8 Alternator Bracket -BKT4853-242

This Alternator Bracket Fits 1949 Ford Flathead V8 applications in cars with wide 5/8" belt and 1948-1953 trucks with wide 5/8" belts.  It mounts the GM 10Si or CS130 alternator in the same position as the original generator so the belts will still line up. Precision machined from high quality steel ready to paint or powder coat. Alternator sold seperate. 
 
Note 1: Use belt lenght of 57 5/8" napa # 22570 and fan belt lenght 37 7/8" napa #22373. 
these lengths may very  depending on application. 
 
Note 2: This typically fits water pumps that are 3 1/4" from center of wide pulley to the mounting surface. 
 
Note 3: If you have a 1949-1953 car engine with narrow 3/8" belts and the driver side water pumps are  (3 1/8" from mounting surface to center of pulley) then order BKT5053-243

There is no warranty on parts that have been modified, painted, altered or not correctly installed. Some parts carry a longer manufacture limited warranty, in this case Vintage Auto Garage LLC will cover the first year [12 months] warranty and the manufacture would cover the remaining warranty period. Battery cables manufactured by Vintage Auto Garage LLC have a lifetime limited warranty to the original buyer. Extended warranty coverage can be purchased separately for some products that would extend the normal warranty by [12 months], [24 months] or [36 months].
