Buick Straight 8 and V8 6 to 12 Volt Conversion Kit with PowerGen. With this kit you will enjoy the power of a 90 amp alternator with the look of the original generator. ( fits 1936-1955) with short case delco generator see measurements.
Kit includes 90 amp PowerGen alternator that retains the original appearance of your engine compartment, Select 3/8",5/8" or 3/4" Pulley) the necessary connecting wires, a horn relay, headlight relay, starter solenoid, wiper motor voltage reducer, gauge voltage reducer so you can keep your original gauges, optional Pertronix electronic ignition kit 1183 and low RF plug wires
This kit does not include the starter solenoid and new plunger, note these parts are aftermarket parts there are no 12 volt solenoids made specific for these year cars. you may encounter problems lining up the solenoids on your old starter we recommend replacing the starter with a new hi torque starter click here for new starters
Note: Some late model Buick's had start switch under gas pedal. If you have this type of start system, you will need to convert your start system to a key starter. This kit does not address the original start electrical system.
