Warranty Information
Vintage Auto Garage LLC offers a one year [12 months] limited warranty on products sold to the original owner. The limited warranty applies to items sold to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Vintage Auto Garage LLC is not responsible for any consequential damages caused by items sold or installed. This warranty covers the replacement/repair of the product only and does not cover the cost of removal and installation. Light bulbs are not covered under any warranty, if your order arrives with damaged bulbs caused by shipping, Vintage Auto Garage LLC will replace the light bulb at no charge. There is no warranty on parts that have been modified, painted, altered or not correctly installed. Some parts carry a longer manufacture limited warranty, in this case Vintage Auto Garage LLC will cover the first year [12 months] warranty and the manufacture would cover the remaining warranty period. Battery cables manufactured by Vintage Auto Garage LLC have a lifetime limited warranty to the original buyer. Extended warranty coverage can be purchased separately for some products that would extend the normal warranty by [12 months], [24 months] or [36 months]. Great 160 amp alternator to power my MGB
In my sophomore year in college I purchased a 1971 MGB, my first experience with a British sport car. I learned to tool on and cripple into shop to shop and soon found that it was a continuing journey, which may never reach it’s destination. Following graduation we parted and it was not until later in life, some 40 years, a friend offered to give me a ’77 B stored in his garage which had not been running for more than 20 years. In remembering my previous experience, I had second thoughts, but realized now I have more patience and a little more money. Needless to say, several years later upon completion of the restoration, in my first three outings each time it was necessary to call for a tow. By installing an A/C, a pull fan, and a sound system there was not an alternator out there that could produce the amps necessary to charge the system while at the same time fit the existing mountings. The final piece of my project was solved by Vintage Auto Garage in San Ramon, California which is considered to be the best in class products for many of our classics. Their 160 amp alternator was more than adequate for my requirements and fit perfectly into place. I’m now on the road with my MGB with the pleasure of having people smile as I drive by.
